| It has been a while since I posted...I know. I have had so much going on lately and when I get a chance to write I usually use MySpace more right now. I guess there are two big things right now going on with me.
Firstly I just moved into an apartment, and I am really excited about that. It is a nice little (608 aq. feet) place, and it's my home. You should come visit.
Secondly, I don't know how many of you know this, but a few weeks ago I got a girlfriend. I
am kind of a low key guy about a lot of things so I haven't talked tons about her here, however I am very proud of her so I decided
to write an entire blog about her so everyone could know. I met Audrey
for the first time about a year ago and pretty much ignored her the
rest of the day:) The reason for that is I work with her sister and
because her sister talked to me about her and how perfect we were it
made it kind of awkward. It also didn't help that the rest of the
Children's Minitries team was there when we met (they knew about how
her sister talked to me about her) and was watching my every move. I
met her once or twice more, and then she moved here. I talked to her
mostly to prove to myself that I wasn't really nervous about it and
that it wasn't really awkward because of her sister. The truth of the
matter is that I usually avoid girls because of past frustrations and
so I actually doubt I would have talked to her if it wasn't for that.
I guess that her sister is kind of the reason we are together and that
she was also right about the fact that we would be great together. I
hate to admit that;) but it's true. I don't think she reads my blogs
so if you know her don't tell her:) Anyway, so I'm not going to type
the entire story, but basically I thought she was really neat and very
good-looking (girls are way more intuitive than guys so she knew first
that we would be good together and she also knew before I asked her out
that I would) so I asked her out and she said yes. The rest is
history. She is such a wonderful, godly girl. She has such a caring
spirit, and she is so intelligent. She is also abosolutely
gorgeous. It
has been such a blessing and an honor to be able to spend time with her
and grow with her and have her as my girlfriend. I really could talk
about her all day and still not be finished, but I won't. I just hope
that all of you get a chance to meet her because she is simply amazing. | | |
| Mamma Mia!! It has been since JUNE that I last blogged. I'm sorry guys. I have a MySpace, and I have gotten to where I use that more. You should check it out...if you want. Anyways, here's my life story since then for you: I went home to visit (nice, but the flight back was a nightmare - 5 hour delays and lost luggage). Wednesday night church started again - much fun! I have been asked to stay working at Central and accepted (my residency is up and I don't sign my contract until Tues. so technically I'm a free agent right now - send in offers and if their big enough I might pull a Carlos Boozer. If you don't understand that statement, don't worry, it's NBA talk). Still bowling Wed. nights, but after service. Still no love life WHATSOEVER. My car is still beautiful. I miss Luke and Casey and my sister and her family a lot. I'm housesitting until tomorrow and then I do it again next weekend. I don't work tomorrow (YES!!). Brandy ( a sister-like friend of mine) and I go to Taco Bell every Sat. night after church and one of the employees and a former employee (that stops by to see us all the time) are really interested in our church (please, God). What a neat ministry opportunity. I'm looking for an apartment right now (on a shoestring budget). I got some dishes and silverware already, and been pricing vacuums. Craziness. I was so busy this summer I am pretty white - and I live in Arizona...how can that be? Well, I guess that is enough crammed info for now. I will leave with this. I have been contemplating a lot lately the concept of the good vs. the God man. I think too often people get sidetracked into doing nice things and being a good person, and getting sidetracked from living wholeheartedly and passionately for Christ and doing everything you do for him. I think I get caught in that trap on occasion. Just something to chew on. Peace out. | | |
| It has been a million years since I last blogged here. I guess there is a little to tell, but not
too much. I went to camp about three
weeks ago, and that was really neat. I
was given a lot of responsibility so I ran ragged and was exhausted, but it went
well and was the most rewarding week of camp I have ever attended. I got back on my birthday, and the people
here really took care of me. I was
blessed in a lot of ways, and one of them was that I got a pair of bowling
shoes. There is a group here that bowls
every Wednesday night, and so now I have both the ball and the shoes to play
with (now I just need some game). Last
week we had an event at the church where we set up big water slides on the side
of a hill and had some other water games for the kids to play. It was another event I was in charge of that
went pretty well. In fact, there is
another one next week that I am over, too.
This week has been good, but it has been the slowest work week I have
had at the church in a long time. That
is a shock in the summer, but I guess it happens. Well, I have to run but I wish you all the
best. Here's a pic for your viewing pleasure:

| It has been a while, but here goes...my finger is ok,I think. It
still hurts a little, but I am pretty sure it isn't broken. I've
been working a lot lately, but thankfully my evenings are starting to
free up a little. I went to Missouri this past weekend!!
Got to see Kelsey walk and get her high school diploma, which was
excellent! I also got to see my family...wow those kids are
cute:) They are something special, that's for sure. I only
got a couple pics of me and my nephew (I was too busy having fun to
take pictures) but I hd a blast with them. Other than that it has
been kinda slow in M-town. Well, I gotta run - peace.
(not any of the pics while I was in town - but cute nonetheless)
